Services
Supported Employment
Supported Employment Services help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain competitive, integrated employment. Services include personalized job development, on-the-job training, and ongoing support to ensure long-term workplace success and independence.
Inclusive Training for Business
Inclusive Training for Businesses equips employers with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to create welcoming, accessible, and equitable workplaces. The training focuses on disability inclusion, communication access, ADA compliance, and inclusive hiring practices. By building awareness and practical skills, businesses can strengthen their workforce, improve team culture, and expand access to diverse talent.
EmpowerAbility Scholarship Fund
The EmpowerAbility Scholarship Fund is dedicated to supporting Deaf students in pursuing post-secondary education and career pathways. The fund provides financial assistance to help remove barriers to college, vocational training, and certification programs. Through community support and donor partnerships, the scholarship promotes access, empowerment, and long-term success.
Meet the Founder
Patti Sánchez Rodríguez is a Brooklyn, New York native born to mainland Puerto Rican parents. As a Deaf professional, she is a Certified Employment Specialist, Disability Inclusion Skills Trainer, Speaker and Facilitator, DEIA Rights Advocate, and Content Creator of the ASL Employment Curriculum on YouTube.
With over 15 years of experience advancing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and the Deaf community, Patti is dedicated to promoting accessibility, inclusion, and equitable workplace practices.
Patti provides diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) training to corporations and organizations, educating employers about Deaf culture, effective communication strategies, workplace accommodations, and inclusive hiring practices for Deaf individuals. Through her training and consulting, she helps businesses create welcoming and accessible workplaces where all employees can thrive.
She is the author of Breaking Barriers: Effective Strategies for Creating an Inclusive Workplace for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Job Seekers, a practical guide that helps employers, professionals, and organizations build more inclusive hiring and employment practices.
Outside of her professional work, Patti enjoys spending time with family and friends, dancing to Latin music, exploring new foods, and traveling to experience different cultures and communities.
In loving memory of my mother, whose wisdom taught me that our greatest purpose is not what we achieve for ourselves, but what we give back to others. Her legacy of service, compassion, and community lives on in everything I do.
